The chipmunks free all the bootlegged toons, including Dave, who has been used for a bootleg version of Ron Stoppable and the Chipmunks reunite. Alvin fears Simon is dead and apologizes for his behavior over the years, but Simon reveals he was protected by a golden pog Alvin gave him. The FBI, led by Ugly Timon, arrive to arrest Cute Rob, who fires a cannonball at Alvin, but Simon takes the hit. The chipmunks lure Rob to the docks and use a ploy from a "The Chipmunks" episode, "Bathroom Bully" to trap him. While Amanda fights and defeats Patrick, Rob chases Alvin and Simon through the warehouse, revealing it to also be where the bootlegs are filmed. The machine's lasers goes haywire, transforming Jack into a dwarf and Rob into a giant amalgamation of various toons. Simon enters the warehouse using a firework, which gets lodged into the machine and stops it before it can be used on Alvin. Simon realizes Amanda is in trouble and contacts Brittany, Jeanette, Eleanor and Theodore, as their pals, for help. tip.Ĭute Rob has Amanda call Simon to lure him to the warehouse, but Amanda sends a coded message using her favorite The Chipmunks episode, "Geizmo's Day Out". Amanda is also lured there by Captain Patrick, revealing he is part of the Valley Gang and has been covering for Rob, including giving Amanda the false Nick Jr. In the ongoing chase, Mat is restrained by Lori and Pepe & sent to jail, but Alvin is caught by Rob and Jack and taken to the warehouse. At the ongoing Fan Con, they try to convince Ugly Timon to ask his FBI contacts for help, but Rob and his henchmen arrive, having tracked Simon using his social media posts. Realizing either Captain Patrick or Amanda is working with Cute Rob, the two flee the station. Inside, they find Rob's operating machine, along with several toon parts, including Dave's hair.Īt the police station, the pair argue over the loss of Dave and their past feud but smell the scent of Dave's cologne. They trace his movements to a dock warehouse, though it is already abandoned by the time the police arrive. With Amanda's help, the chipmunks sneak into a bathhouse to steal Rob's fitness tracker. The two later share their discoveries with Amanda's, learning that he is shunned by Captain Patrick due to acting on a bad tip and raiding Nickelodeon Junior Studios with negative results. Realizing they are investigating his bootlegging business, Rob tries to capture the pair, but the chipmunks escape. They are taken to the uncanny valley part of town and meet the gang's leader, Cute Rob-a bootlegged Robin Hood-and his henchmen Mat the ? and Jack the hyena. They meet Police Captain Patrick and Amanda the latter reveals himself to be a big The Chipmunks fan, and with the police's hands tied, he suggests Alvin, Simon and Theodore investigate on their own.Īlvin and Simon visit Panhuto Pistoles, Dave's music disc dealer, and ask about the Valley Gang. Later that night, the two are informed that Dave has been kidnapped. Dave warns the pair of a trafficking operation where toons are kidnapped, have their appearances altered, and are shipped overseas to produce bootlegs of their works for the rest of their lives. The two are contacted by their old co-star Dave, who owes money to the criminal Valley Gang due to his favorite music disc addiction. Seven years later, Alvin is a successful but disillusioned insurance salesman while Simon, now rendered in anime thanks to a special surgery operating machine designed to alter toon's bodies, spends most of his time on the fan convention circuit.

When Simon gets his own Superman-inspired show, Super Simon, the two go their separate ways and both series are continues. They later emigrate to Hollywood and after appearing as extras on commercials and live-action television series, star in the successful television series Alvinnn!!! and the Chipmunks in the early 2010s. In a world co-populated by humans and cartoon characters, Alvin, Simon and Theodore meet in elementary school and become best friends.
